Before taking office I knew I loved Sacramento, especially Natomas. After a year of working in various parts of the City, meeting dedicated employees, leaders and organizations that are all focused on how to help Sacramento become the best City it can be, I am even more honored to represent such an outstanding community. My Sister’s House is one such amazing organization and I am proud to serve as a Celebrity Team Captain for this year's 10th Annual Run for a Safe Haven.
My Sister’s House serves women and children who have been affected by family violence and/or human trafficking. The organization provides shelter, counseling, legal assistance, and support to people who are trying to stand up for themselves and assert their right to build a safe home for themselves and their children. My Sister’s House provides an important service in our community. I hope you will join me, my family and friends as we support this organization's work to end domestic violence in our community. You can get involved by donating, registering to walk/run in the event, starting your own team or joining my team.
