Ashfield Cares was established to fulfil one of our corporate aims - to give back to local healthcare, educational and community development initiatives.
Our mission is to improve lives. At Ashfield, we do this every day by working with our clients to help healthcare professionals and patients get the medicines, knowledge and support they need.
We do not stop at this though. We are committed to using our size, resources and geographical reach to have a positive impact on the communities around us and wider society through the work of Ashfield Cares.
Through Ashfield Cares, we actively support charities and good causes by donating our money, our time and our skills to worthwhile projects. We consider this focus to be core to our organisation’s success – it’s part of The Ashfield Way.
Ashfield Cares is a truly global initiative. All of the Ashfield businesses are represented at Ashfield Cares committees at either a business unit or site basis.
Our committees are comprised of employees at all various levels of seniority who have a passion for partnering with and helping others, energy and ingenuity for fundraising, and expertise and quality for decision making.
Each committee raises funds and organises supportive events and employee time donations, through the voluntary efforts of our incredible employees, generous suppliers and kind clients.
Ashfield’s global management recognise and support the efforts of our employees in this regard, and have pledged to contribute funds to local committees and causes represented by local committees.
Fund raising, giving time, and holding events requires a lot of effort, and so we take every donation we make seriously and we support causes that are in accordance with our charter focus.
Our focus is on causes which support:
• Healthcare – for example but not limited to, life limited children’s charities, disability related charities, hospices and hospital wards and equipment.
• Community development – for example but not limited to, funding for and employees helping with regeneration projects, youth centres, homelessness support and prevention, air ambulance, community events, and children’s amateur sports clubs.
• Education – for example but not limited to, donations for school and playground equipment, school and student projects, student sponsorship, use of Ashfield buildings for school events, interview technique workshops and student mentoring.
Causes local to our offices are given priority but because many of our employees are field- and home-based we will consider national causes affecting our employees’ local communities.
The main priority for Ashfield Cares is that employees feel passionate to get involved, and that great causes benefit and we all help to improve lives.
Ashfield does not make commercial gain from Ashfield Cares and so as a matter of policy Ashfield Cares committees do not provide donations in exchange for corporate advertising or sponsorship opportunities.
Further, in its fundraising efforts Ashfield Cares does not accept funds donated by third parties which could be construed in any way as breaching or compromising our strict guidelines on anti-bribery.
