America’s Mighty Warrior’s a registered 501(c)3 non-profit corporation headed by two dedicated mothers of former Navy SEALs; one Marc Lee, the first SEAL to lose his life in the fight against insurgents in Ramadi, Iraq while the other, Robert Guzzo, lost the fight at home and succumbed to the battle against his invisible wound, ending his own suffering. Both of these women have turned their losses into compassion for others who are suffering with the traumas that wait for warriors and their families when (and if) they return home.

More about AMW's Healing Heroes Program:
AMW recognized a significant gap with the Department of Veteran Affairs to treat the overwhelming number of warriors who return home with PTS (Post Traumatic Stress) and TBI (traumatic Brain Injury). The Healing Heroes Program was put into place to assist veterans with PTS and TBI by connecting them to treatment not currently available at the VA or MTF (Military Treatment Facilities). They do it in honor of the loss of one of their own, and for the sake of his brother and sister warriors so that they might have a fighting chance to win their own battle.
Twenty two veterans end their life every day, this is a national tragedy. It is time to take a stand, bring awareness, and take a proactive initiative rather than a reactive approach that service members and veterans are taking into their own hands.
Treatment at the VA hospitals is limited in scope and availability however, there are alternative treatments currently available resulting in very positive results. To make these expensive treatment options available to more veterans, America’s Mighty Warriors’ Healing Heroes program provides financial assistance to cover the treatment, travel to treatment facility, and/or lodging in the area of the treatment facility. AMW is only able to continue this fight with the help and financial support from generous donations.
