Ashley Ann's KAYAMM Mission Trip to INDIA
Organized by: Ashley Kim
Hi my name is Ashley Ann Kim and I will be going on a mission trip to INDIA this summer. I will be going as a missionary from KAYAMM. (Korean American Youth Adventist Missionary Movement). I'm very excited for this chance to serve God and his people !
Why I'm going on this mission trip:
They say that everyone has a love language, a language that shows how they express their love and my love language is acts of service. Acts of service not only applies to my friends and family, but also serving God. Whether it’s through leadership roles or serving on mission trips I feel most connected to God when I’m serving him and his people and I think that serving as a KAYAMM missionary will give me the chance to express my love for God. I have served as a KAYAMM missionary in the 17th batch and the encounter that I had with God during that mission trip was unforgettable, those experiences and memories are a part of me, they encourage me to build my faith and help to lift me up when I am down. I not only hope to grow my faith as I serve, but I pray that I can be used as God’s messenger in the mission field so that I may bring even one person closer to God and the kingdom of Heaven.
Many times when students enter college our faith becomes less important and our future becomes our priority. We go off of God's path and we lose our touch with Him. Even though I lose my focus on God time to time I want to constantly grow my relationship with Him and I think that continuing to serve and continuing to be involved in the church community makes that possible for me. I want to show people all the love that I have received from God and share with them, so that they too may show and share God's love and message to others who do not know Him.
The last time I went on a mission trip my parents graciously provided the funds for my trip, but for this mission trip I really want to save and come up with the funds for the mission trip without my parents help. I think that preparing for the mission trip by trying to come up with the money on my own will really benefit my whole mission experience. I hope that YOU can help make this possible! If you can, please consider donating, ANYTHING helps! Please keep the KAYAMM missionaries in your prayers, that we are able to do God's will and spread his message and that the people we encounter will have open hearts.
PLEASE PLEASE leave a comment below because I would really appreciate any words of advice!
With love and gratitude,
Ashley Ann Kim
