I work for Wish of a Lifetime, a nonprofit that wants to change the way we view and value aging by fulfilling seniors' longtime wishes and then sharing them with the world. This summer, we're asking people to summit one or more of Colorado's 14,000+ foot peaks in honor or in memory of a senior who inspires them. In July, I hiked Mt. Bierstadt in memory of my Grandpa Foutz, who fought for our country in WWII. While working at Wish of a Lifetime, I am reminded that in life, we all stand on the hard work of those who have walked before us, and while I hike I am grateful for those who have gone before and smoothed the trail for me. I plan on hiking at least one more 14er this summer in honor of our oldest generations who have blazed the trail before us. All the money I raise in support of my summits will help Wish of a Lifetime continue to fulfill wishes for seniors all over the country!
