BENEFITING: The Nature Conservancy
EVENT DATE: Jun 08, 2013
Because I am crazy I am running three MAJOR races in May and June 2013.
Market to Market Relay, May 11, 2013 (14 miles)
Dam to Dam, June 1, 2013 (12 miles)
The Road to Exile Half Marathon, June 8, 2013 (13.1 miles)
Total: Approx. 39+ miles!
And I got to thinking, I'm going to run all of these miles and kill myself doing it, but what is the point (other than proving that I can)? I thought it would be a great opportunity to raise some money for the thing I am absolutely the most passionate about:
The Nature Conservancy is the world's most successful conservation organization. They work in all 50 states and over 30 countries using science to set priority landscapes. They work on large scale conservation for the long term.
A little caveat, I work for The Nature Conservancy, but I am doing this completely out of my own personal will and choice, simply because I am that passionate about the work TNC does. So passionate that I am willing to go out and run 39+ miles in their honor.
I'd say that's pretty passionate.
I would love it if you could help me raise some money for the amazing work this great organization does! I need to raise $1,000 for The Nature Conservancy by June 8, 2013.
Do you care about clean water? Do you care about critters? Do you care about preserving our country's heritage through natural landscapes? Do you care about the next generation having places to experience the outdoors? If you care about any of these things then the work TNC does directly helps something you care about.
