THE STORY:

If you don't already know, ASPCA is a fund raising charity for animals who have been abused, neglected and mistreated. The people are national leaders for rescue, adoption and welfare, but as great as a job they're already doing, they can do 110% of a job with our help. Now the reason I'm choosing this specific charity is out of a random choice but because I witnessed horrific animal torture at a very young age and at that time I didn't know what to think. Growing up I was able to realize how wrong, we as humans think we're the superior race and I don't mean all of us are like that but a good number of us are and should consider otherwise. So eventually the day came after years of being blind to such events that one day I had visited my uncle and his family, thinking they were the most kind hearted people out there...but I couldn't have been more wrong. They own a large amount of land, because of that they had a small farm and of course to farmers livestock is important, I get that. Now I was helping them with separating chickens from roosters when two small, homeless shih tzus came wondering by minding their own business just trying to get where they wanted to be but my uncle, aunt and cousins thought otherwise. I watched as my uncle handed my cousins very bulky and large sticks, without any hesitation they both cracked both dogs on top of their heads, knocking one unconscious and the other injured while it was running away. As all of this was in motion with my uncle grabbing the sticks, I was sprinting across the field trying to stop it and made it fast enough to stop my cousin from attempting a second swing on the fleeing one. Not thinking twice I kicked him in the stomach, grabbed his stick and hit him across the face with it and immediately went towards my other cousin and uncle threatening them screaming, "You better back the fuck off right now! They did nothing to you! Your life is not worth more than theirs!" After saying that my uncle attempted to take the branch out of my hand but in doing so I swung the stick on his hand and fractured 3 of his fingers. After doing that my aunt and mom pulled my uncle and cousin inside to patch them up and of course the other cousin just went back to his own business. Once all the commotion was over and dealt with I tended to the dogs, already seeing that the other one trying to wake up the unconscious one. Realizing that I was helping them out the conscious one allowed me to check on his friend, making sure he wasn't gone. Soon an hour and some went by and letting the two have some of my granola bar and water and the help of my aunt, they were off and seemed perfectly unharmed and grateful. Ever since that incident I devoted my life to helping not only animals but humans as well, giving whatever I can, whether it be food, water or money and I never regret it. Getting caught up with the present, I've googled animal celebration days to see if they exist and I noticed that in Nepal, Asia they have such a thing for not just dogs but many others species too. On the darker side of things, Yulin, Asia had other plans that can make your stomach turn....hopefully just figuratively. Yulin has an annual dog eating festival, where they would take any dog they see and strangle, beat and cook them alive because they believe the adrenaline in them makes the meat more tasteful. They'll pull strays off the street and family pets out of their homes just for this and if there's not enough dogs, then they'll turn to cats and so on. (Warning: googled pictures are very graphic). I hope this gives you an idea of what I'm fighting for and it's just for animals in the US but for every living thing (including humans) on this planet we call home. I want this chance to be with Seth to allow me to make a stronger impact with the fame and money, both of those will allow me get the word out more with your help of course. I know I didn't have to talk so much but this part of my story needed to be said for all to hear, God has rewarded me with overwhelming, warm happiness for my actions and he'll do the same for you!!
