Assisted Living for my DAD

About a year ago my Dad became my responsibility when His wife decided she would no longer care for him. He has experienced mini strokes for a few years now,but we are grateful he is still independent with no major deabilitating effects. Mostly DL assistance.  I am his eldest Son. It was almost like having a person dropped off at your door. There was no plan,I had no medical records,no medication records,List of his doctors,or bills. He was alone an entire day. I live out of state, picked him up and took him into my home and tried figuring out what next. My father was a machinist and spent a good part of his career helping build our nuclear sub fleet. He also part of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He is a Christian man and He loved boating. He has lived modestly, never taken from the state. However now He is caught in the middle class dilemma. I found him a new facility 5 mins from my home. The least expensive Assisted living around, He is getting the care he needs and living like a king. Unfortunately,we are at a crossroad and if I cannot find a solution his retirement will be depleted rapidly and he will face the prospect of a nursing home. Which I do NOT want to do. I am reaching out here to hopefully find some help. We are not looking for charity, just need to supplement his income. I figure we need aprox 25,000.00 per year to keep him where he is and to supplement his health care. We are running out of time, please help. I will be happy to get anyone in contact with the facility if needed. I thank all who spent time to read this and those who can help. Mike
