A Survivors Dream
Organized by: Wayne Francis
18 Years ago today Shannon came into our lives, a bouncing baby girl. Shannon was born with a strong determination and will to achieve her highest potential. From an early age all she ever wanted to do was attend college and become a physician then return and help in her community. That dream was challenged when multiple health illnesses threatened the dream. She worked very hard in school and never missed a day of school until she was so sick she was hospitalized. While in the hospital she cried because she was unable to attend school, she loved to learn. We almost lost her three times, she never gave up and she survived. Now its time for her to fullfill her life long dream to go to college and healthcare bills have crippled us. Shannon needs to go to college, she survived multiple illnesses and undiagnosed illness. She has been healthy now for two years and has earned her wright to attend a very good school. She got a partial scholarship and is just days away from moving to campus. But the dream she has worked so hard for will not happen if we can't raise $14,000. What a challenge, well I saw this special girl beat all the odds and steered death in the face and won. Please Help!
