A critical step in breaking the cycle of high school dropouts and arrests is helping kids to create the developmental assets—relationships, opportunities and qualities—they need to avoid risks and to thrive. To that end, we want to fund a college campus tour to Morehouse College and Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Ga that will promote critical decision-making abilities and instill positive values. This fundraiser will cover the costs of hotel stay, bus travel, and meals. Georgia Tech Football special teams coordinator Lamar Owens will also be donating tickets to their game against Duke University October 29 for our kids.
