Ainsley's Angels of America is super excited to ensure Brandon can #RunWithTheMarines in the 40th Marine Corps Marathon! Also, he will be aboel to "Roll With The Wind" any time he desires in his very own customized CHARIOT!
Here is a special note from Brandon:
My name is Brandon Rizzuti. I am 26 years old and I have Cerebral Palsy (CP). My CP makes it difficult for me to control my muscle movement (which limits me to a wheelchair) and to communicate verbally. Even with my disability I am proud to say that I graduated Fuquay-Varina High School, I am employed by Walgreens in Fuquay-Varina, NC and I am on the Board of The Arc of North Carolina.
While attending the 2014 Annual Conference for The Arc of North Carolina I was introduced to Ainsley’s Angels of Central Carolina. They asked me to run with them and I agreed. Soon after the conference we tried a practice run together and I enjoyed the experience. Since that practice run I have participated in road races with Ainsley’s Angels including a half marathon (13.1 miles). I love to run with Ainsley’s Angels because I get to meet a lot of people and get to enjoy the surrounding sights and sounds of nature. It is really fun! I plan on running a full marathon (26.2 miles) in the spring of 2015.
Ainsley’s Angels has committed to me that they will help me get my very own custom race chair. One that is specifically designed for me: my body, my height, my weight, the length of my legs, custom arm rests, a custom foot rest and safety harness. Right now I use a borrowed chair that is designed for a different person. If I am going to be racing 26 miles, Ainsley’s Angels says the most important thing is that I feel comfortable in my race chair.
Please help me reach my goal of a new race chair. I plan on racing with Ainsley’s Angels for a long time.
