EVENT: 2013 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 15, 2013
It isn't often that one is given an opportunity to run the Boston Marathon. It has always been a goal of mine and the training will certainly be a challenge. There will be several dark nights running in the cold with the headlamp lighting my way. I'll be wearing an orange vest and I predict that on more than one occasion I will be ridiculed by local teens.
The cold nights will be slightly more tolerable knowing that I'll be running for a great cause. As a primary care physician I see where people struggle and often where the traditional health care model doen't provide needed services. Innovative health care initiatives which support those people most at risk help to fill some of those voids. This is the focus of the Atrius Health Foundation.
Please considering supporting the Atrius Health Foundation and I'll represent all of you at the race.
