EVENT DATE: Feb 05, 2014
On February 5th, at SAIT Polytechnic in Calgary, I will be shaving my head to raise funds for Aubri Guenther and her family.
On Aug. 13, 2013, Aubri was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, which affects the blood and bone marrow. The “acute” means that if left untreated, this form of cancer will progress rapidly. This disease is sadly being coupled with other rare illnesses, making it nearly untreatable and stumping doctors in London, Ont.
Aubri’s best bet for treatment is at the Children’s Hospital in Calgary, which prompted her and her family to suddenly move across the country, without a home to move into, and at the expense of job and benefits lost.
