auntie's cancer recovery
Organized by: Derrick torres
Hello my name is Derrick torres im a pisces from brooklyn new york, Im 28 years of age and im currently unemployed. I have a uncle named Miguel A. Soto who unfortunately has passed away from Metastatic Cancer on November 22 2014. (a stage lV cancer that spreads from its primary part of the body to diffrent areas rapidly. While the family mourned over our lost, we received more horrible news. My aunt Rosalina carrion a 44 year old brooklyn native was diagnosed with breast cancer as well. As I got some insite on my families history i've learned that Cancer runs in the family. My uncle miguel was my favorite and my aunt Rosalina aka aunt star is my favorite aunt. my uncle was a very hard-working family man and a positive role model who I've looked up to my whole life. As time progresses and things got worst, the oncologist informs my aunt that her days were limited. With hearing the terrifying news my aunts only solution was to get chemothera treatment. Being a single parent with bills piling and trying to cope with stress doesn't help her situation at all. As you all know the economy is harder then ever so landing and maintaining a steady job seems to be very difficult now in days. Of course medicaid doesn't cover cancer treatment so that leaves us at a stand still. These last few years has been a huge financial hardship on Everyone so I decided to try my best to raise money and assist my family in any and every way possible. The funds we raise will go twords chemotherapy treatment as well as any other medications my aunt may need. Bills, food, living expenses, helping her daughter and for a late life Insurance policy so we wont have to scramble in case of the worst (funeral cost) We are strong believers in God and at times like this we need all of the support we can get! Basically what Im saying is please help me keep my aunt alive. sincerely, Derrick Torres Thank you all for your time.
