Aurora's Mission Trip to Nicaragua
Organized by: Aurora Tafuto
EVENT DATE Jun 19, 2016
Hello! My Nursing program at Norwich University is providing an incredible opportunity for juniors to travel, learn, and provide community health care to children and families in Nicaragua. This trip is a rare and unique possibility to travel abroad, be immersed in a different culture, and provide health relief and charity. Please help me to obtain a rewarding week of mission with Corner of Love’s wonderful friends from Monument, Colorado Springs, and some members in my nursing class as well as nursing faculty of NU.
This group will carry out some of the largest mobile clinics of the year and we will likely serve as many as 5,000 Nicaraguans. Volunteers such as myself will help work at numerous stations, including: general medicine, pharmacy, dental care and more. I have never traveled overseas and am passionate about providing care abroad to children and families who lack adequate access to health care. We are also bringing gifts to these children such as shoes and clothing. My only barrier is cost, so even the smallest donations will make a difference. Thank you so much!
