Autistic Children Speak
Organized by: Billy W Cross
Many children with autism have expressive and or receptive language problems meaning, they can't express their wants and needs verbally and or cannot comprehend what others are saying to them. There are apps for IPADS that have produced astonishing results in aiding these chilren to communicate with their teachers, parents, and peers. As a teacher, I have three IPADS in my class and have seven children with Autism with more coming in August. Further, I can't allow these Ipads to leave my classroom. The kids need to have their own Ipad with a communication app and be able to take it with them where ever they go. Please help me provide a means of communication for these kids.
