Q: How do I get technical help while I am on the site?
A: Please email Aveda@CrowdRise.com and the CrowdRise customer service team will help solve everything.
Q: What do I do if an unrelated location with the same salon name already set up a team page?
A: If another Team has already used your location name, Example: Team Rejuvenation Salon, then add a qualifier such as your city name: Team Rejuvenation Salon Denver.
Q: How can guests find my team and individual pages?
A: Type in the individual’s name or team name in the search bar at the top of the Aveda Earth Month 2018 landing page.
Q: How do I know which Earth Month partner to fundraise for?

A: Yes, you need to create a new fundraiser for 2018. You do that by clicking here and then selecting the “Set Up Your Fundraiser” button. From there, you can either join an existing team or start your own fundraiser.

• Tell your story.
• Add a logo, lots of great photos and a video if at all possible.
• Add some team members right away.
• Upload the Widget to your own site. Just login to your account and go to your fundraising page. Click on the Edit Fundraiser tab and select My Fundraiser Widget on the right. Copy and paste the code into your website html. If you don't know how to do that, just send the code to your web person and they'll know what to do with it. Or email Aveda@CrowdRise.com and we’ll be able to help solve everything.
Tip: Ask Your Supporters to Join Your Team and Fundraise for Your Cause
Donors are amazing, but fundraisers change the game.
• Ask your supporters to not only donate to your cause, but to also fundraise for your cause. Think about it this way…a $25 donor is great, but a $250 fundraiser is a game changer.
• Send your supporters an email with a link to your fundraising page. Tell them that donations are amazing, but if they could set up a fundraiser for your cause, the possibilities to raise more money are endless.
• Let your supporters know that it is beyond easy to start a fundraiser and all they have to do is click on the ‘Fundraise for this Campaign’ button on your page.
• After they set up their fundraiser, all they have to do is send their fundraiser link to their friends and family and ask them to give.
• Make sure to include staff, volunteers and your board members when asking everyone to fundraise for your cause. They are your most passionate supporters and will want to help.
Tip: How to Let Everyone Know About Your Fundraiser
Spreading the word about your fundraiser is the only way to raise lots of money for your cause. You need to be talking about your Challenge campaign all the time.
• Email is by far the best way to ask your supporters to give to, or fundraise for your cause. Send out individual emails or emails in small batches (think 10 or less people instead of 100 people) so that the recipient does not feel anonymous. It works.
• Email is king, but social media is good too. Use the direct message tool on Facebook and Twitter to make a direct ask to individuals. In addition, post a link to your fundraiser on your Facebook wall as well as on Twitter.
• In addition to email and Facebook or Twitter, use every other channel possible. If you have a company Instagram account, post on there, if you have a newsletter that goes out, include it in the newsletter. The more places the better. Write it in chalk if you have to at your kid's school.
• Supporters love to hear that their donations are making a difference. Make sure to send out emails when you reach various milestones or win a cash prize. If they're along for the ride, they're more likely to be invested and give multiple times.
• Send thank you emails to your donors every time they donate and make sure they do it fast. When your donors feel really appreciated, they are more likely to give again.
Tip: Keep the Energy High and Raise So Much Money
Momentum is so important. Keep pushing right up to the deadline. And, make sure that you'll raise the most money possible while your campaign and cause are in the spotlight.
• Momentum is so important. Start off strong, avoid mid-campaign lulls and keep pushing right up to the deadline.
• Get a couple of big donations early to really boost your donation volume.
• Check your fundraising page statistics constantly to understand what's working.
• Post updates about your fundraising page at least every other day to keep people informed about how it's going.
• Use deadlines to create some urgency and rally support.
• Continue to post updates even after the campaign is over.
• Launch a follow-up campaign. Please Email Us when you're ready and we'll be ready to help.
