Less than 1% of the world’s fresh water is readily accessible for direct human use! Dirty water kills more kids than war, malaria, and AIDS combined. By donating, you are helping the Clark Fork Coalition. The Clark Fork Coalition protects and restores the Clark Fork watershed, a 22,000-square-mile area supporting 340,000 people in western Montana and northern Idaho. The Coalition formed in 1985 to apply science-driven, community-based solutions to pollution problems facing the river and the people living upstream and down. Our work today is conducted by a staff of 11, based out of our main office in Missoula and a ranch office in the Deer Lodge Valley. We have a 14-person board of directors supplying guidance and governance, along with fiscal oversight of a $1 million budget. Membership support for our work comes from 2,700 citizens basin-wide.
