Avoid Family Eviction

This is my first fundraiser. This is the first time I am asking for help. Some may judge, some may laugh, but please, do not ignore this.

My name is Alexandra Bubela and I am the mother of 2 adorable, healthy and happy children. My husband and I are a loving couple and trying to be the best parents we can. You might say I have it all.

However, good and bad times alternate in anyone's life and we have not been spared of this.

We are now struggling, from a financial point of view. We are at the point of getting evicted in a couple of days, from our rented 400sqft apartment, because we are overdue with our housing bills and do not have the money to pay next month's rent. We are supposed to pay it on September 1st.

The total amount reaches a little over $1,000. It was double, but after 2 years of unemployment I managed to get a job. However, our landlord is not willing to wait anymore for us, and we have no one else to go to.

This is hard. I feel ashamed of reaching the point where I have to ask for help, because I blame the entire situation on me. I struggle with depression for almost 3 years now. It first hit after I had my wonderful daughter. And yet, I had an amazing life partner by my side who did not give up on even when he would come home to see there is not one single clean plate in the house to put his meal in, and the children were unattended.

It is hard to look at your children, love them, acknowledge you love them and yet to remain paralyzed in your bed when they are crying for you.

It is the first time I speak openly about this. Because I want it to end! I managed to make the first step and finally get a job, 2 weeks ago. It is a freelance writing job, but with a contract signed and mailed. A REAL one, not just electronically. And for the first time, in a very long time, I am proud of myself. And will continue to struggle with this and get the medical help when I feel I'm spiralling down again.

However, in this very moment, I ask of you to help us. The Romanian culture does not believe in depression. They consider it "laziness" and not even our families are willing to accept it as a medical issue. And even if they did, they do not have the financial resources to help us. The minimum wage in Romania is $230. And I managed to get a job that pays $600/month.

It will be more than enough to support my family in the future and help others, as I am sure I will be helped here.

Please, I ask of you to not ignore this. This is my last resort. My last chance to repair the harm done to my family and not end up on the streets. Right now I work every day in a nearby park that has a restaurant near and I catch free WI-fi on a borrowed 7inch notebook.

I will thank each and every one of you and keep you in my thoughts and prayers forever! Just please, do not ignore us, just because we are so far away...
