EVENT DATE: Dec 31, 2013
For many in the LGBTQ and HIV-affected community the threat of violence is a daily reality. The New York City Anti-Violence Project (AVP) received nearly 3,500 calls on our 24-hour bilingual (English/Spanish) hotline last year, that's approximately one call every two and a half hours.
As a member of AVP’s volunteer board, I invite you to join us in support of AVP's important work on behalf of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and HIV-affected people. AVP is here for all LGBTQ and HIV-affected survivors of violence when they need us. AVP supports survivors of violence with counseling, advocacy, and legal services. Equally important, AVP works to end all forms of violence through organizing and education.
My goal is to raise $3000 by Pride 2014 (End of June 14). Every gift – whether $25 or $250 - helps the mission to end violence.
THANK YOU so much for your consideration and generosity!
