BENEFITING: A Way Out
EVENT DATE: Sep 28, 2016
A Way Out is Potter County, Pennsylvania's domestic violence and sexual assault center. We serve all survivors, regardless of age, gender, or when the abuse occurred. All of our services are free and kept strictly confidential.
We offer counseling, a 24 hour helpline, advocacy with medical and social services, emergency shelter, financial advocacy and training, survivor's groups, and community education, among other services as the survivor needs.
In recent months, A Way Out has been able to serve more men in our community, which is a newer group we are honored to serve. We are looking to continue to expand services and to work more community partners in the future. A Way Out believes that through individual advocacy and community action, we can end domestic violence and sexual assault.
All of the above services are in support of our mission: “to assist and support all victims, survivors, and families of domestic violence and sexual assault through ethical, culturally competent, and compassionate services. We advocate for social change designed to end the cycle of abuse through dedication, community involvement and education”.
