Asalamu alaikum (peace be upon you). We, from the Western world, or whereever you may inhabit from in the diverse features of this planet, are beyond blessed to say that we can sleep at night with a roof on top of our heads, access to facilities and clean water, luxurious items, nourishment, education, and the liberty to live freely. For some of us - those luxuries does not exist. And their lives are violated.
My name is Jiniya. I am a sophomore college student in NYC. I've wanted to start a fundraiser for Syrian refugees for some time. Now that I have the opportunity and financial standing to do so, I would like to celebrate my 19th birthday with the honor of giving back. With the current state of the migrant crisis and the dense adversities Syrian refugees are facing, I would like to asisst these valiant, discriminated souls in easing their burdens and pushing forth to recreating their lives so that they can live in peace and make a substantial living. It would mean the world to me for you all to help this cause and reach its fundraising goal by Monday, October 19th, 2015.
