BENEFITING: PROJECT OPEN HAND
EVENT DATE: May 15, 2011
Since 1985, Project Open Hand has been providing “meals with love” to people living with serious illnesses and to seniors in San Francisco and Alameda County and has served as a model for over 100 organizations all over the world. To learn more about them and why they're so awesome, check out the video. Yes, it's over 3 minutes, but you'll feel really good the whole time. To understand why it's so important to me, read my blog post here: http://www.wholesumlife.com/B2B4POH.html
We decided to celebrate the new year, celebrate San Francisco and celebrate life by raising a bunch of cold, hard cash for our friends at POH. Our goal is to raise $1,000 for each kilometer - $1K per 1K. We promise that at least one of us will run the whole thing. Hence, our goal is $12,000. The more money you donate, the better you'll feel. It's exponential...you know, math and stuff.
If 12,000 people give us only 1 dollar, or if 1 big company or donor writes us a fat check, we can do it. Please tell everyone. Thanks for reading.
