BENEFITING: MELANOMA RESEARCH FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Jun 14, 2014
On June 14th I will be riding 132 miles with 8,500 feet of climbing into the mountains of Vermont. I have been training for months in an effort to make this ride a success. It will be a grueling 8-9 hours on the bike.
The ride will be done in an effort to raise money for Melanoma cancer research. Melanoma, a common form of skin cancer, causes about 48,000 deaths per year and is the cause of 75% of the deaths related to cancer every year. Fortunately, it is often preventable and curable when caught early. Awareness and basic education can help reduce these deaths.
Thank you for helping me to reduce the impact of Melanoma!
