I have been running about once a week this past year with Back on My Feet, an organization that combats homelessness through the power of running, community support, and essential employment and housing resources.
One of my running buddies, within the past year, has gotten a job in fast food, lost over 30 pounds, and has started taking business classes at night, all while living in a shelter and training for both a half marathon, and now the full NYC marathon. The video above specifically shows another story of one of the runners at my group at City Hall.
This group has taught me so much about the unseen, unknown, and unspoken struggles of homelessness and even more about the power of community, dedication, and support.
By helping me fundraise for Back on My Feet NYC you are helping raise critical awareness and funds to make a difference in their lives.
