Hi! Thanks for coming!
For over a decade, Caring House Project Foundation (chpf.org) has been working to provide humanitarian aid, housing, and self-sufficient villages in the impoverished nation of Haiti.
For the past 8 summers, CHPF founder Frank McKinney has traveled to Death Valley, CA to raise funds for his charity by traversing the 135-mile Badwater Ultramarathon route (called the hardest in the world by Nat Geo) over the course of 2 days. This year, I will be joining Team McKinney as a Badwater crew member.
Additionally, as a part of this fundraiser, I will be leading a small group of runners to run a “mini Badwater” here in Iowa. We will be gathering at the Cornell College track in Mount Vernon (directions), where we will complete a cumulative total of 135 miles between sunset and sunrise on the days of July 1-2. If you're in the area, feel free to join us for any amount of time and have your miles counted towards our total!
Our biggest goal with this fundraiser is to achieve 135 SEPARATE DONATIONS; any amount counts, and if this number is reached an anonymous donor has pledged to MATCH THE AMOUNT RAISED!
Once again, 100% of your donation goes directly toward CHPF's efforts of creating sustainability in Haiti, and EVERY DONATION COUNTS toward our goal of 135 (which will be doubled)!
Your contribution matters and is much appreciated.
