Baile de California’s passion is to bring people together through music and dance. For a second year, we are offering dance and performing opportunities to boys and girls at the Santa Barbara Boys & Girls Club at Santa Barbara’s famed, Old Spanish Days- Fiesta but, WE NEED YOUR HELP.
Dance lessons should not be for a privileged few or only those who can earn a scholarship because they have a “perfect” dancer’s body. Baile de California’s founder/ director and instructors believe dance should be available to everyone regardless of background, age, natural ability, etc. Please help make this dream a reality. We are also raising funds to purchase costumes for our dance company. Last summer the costumes for the Boys & Girls Club were funded by the director and many of the adult costumes have been as well. Unfortunately, we cannot continue this way. Class fees are kept as low as possible to make classes  available to the most people possible therefore, funding for costumes is imperative.
Thank you for considering supporting us! After you make a contribution of ANY SIZE, you may contact us through our website- to specify whether your contribution is for a young dancer’s tuition, an adult dancer’s tuition, or for costuming. For each $100 donation for costuming, your name will be sewn into a costume so the dancer can lift up thanks every time they wear it. All donors’ names will be listed on our website unless you prefer anonymity. Just let us know.
Remember, dance is a great way to get physical activity and folk dance offers cultural and social connections as well as exercising body & mind. Thanks for helping and as CROWDRISE says, “If you don’t give back, no one will like you.”
