BENEFITING: BAILEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PTO
EVENT DATE: May 25, 2016
On April 16, three of our Destination Imagination (DI) teams from Bailey Elementary School competed at the state-level DI tournament and qualified for DI Gobal Finals! This is an amazing opportunity for our girls and boys; however, we have an incredibly short window to raise the funds needed so our teams can attend.
After achieving honors for creativity, teamwork and innovation in regional and state academic tournaments, The Flaming Brains, The Mischievous Leprechauns of Dublin and The Wisdom Workers have earned the right to compete in Destination Imagination's Global Finals, the world’s largest celebration of student creativity, to be held May 25-28 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Team members include 3rd graders Lauren Burkett, Dino Dorner, Foster Gill, Elyse Janikian, Celeste Reheiser, Emmett Van Buskirk, and 5th graders Aiden Adkins, Brody Ausmus, Nathan Buchman, Lizzie Gill, Charlie Johnson, Katie Wu, Lydia Benham, Annie Johnson, Shraddha Krishnan, Alexis Marsico, Caitlyn Marsico, Bea Mohr and Erica Rozlog.
These three Bailey teams will compete with other teams in the performing arts, scientific and project outreach challenges that require students to apply science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills, in addition to their talents in improvisation, theater arts, writing, project management, communication, innovation, teamwork, community service and social entrepreneurship.
