THE STORY:

What: Sigma Alpha Mu’s philanthropy. An all day long basketball tournament
held at Assembly Hall. All proceeds go to the Lauri S. Bauer Foundation
benefitting children who have lost a parent.

When: April 13th

Who: Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity—A fraternity of 150+ members all of whom
devote their time toward philanthropic endeavors.

Where: Assembly Hall

Why: The Lauri S. Bauer Foundation was started by Scott Bauer—father of Alex
Bauer who is a brother of Sigma Alpha Mu. Alex lost his mother on January 5,
2011 to a sudden arrhythmia. The foundation has helped thousands of kids across
the world who have suffered similar tragedies. Whether it be helping pay for
college, put food on the table, or put some clothes on children’s’ backs—the Lauri
S. Bauer Foundation helps save and improve thousands of lives.

What you can do to help:

Become a sponsor! For just $200, you can have your company’s name on the
jumbotron at Assembly Hall, or have a banner at the event.

With those two options listed above, the cost for one is $200. If you wish to
choose both options, the second will be half off. For example—if you wanted your
company’s name on the jumbotron and a banner, it would be a total of $300. If
you wanted just one of them, it would be $200.

Reach thousands of students and adults around the Bloomington community by
sponsoring Ball at the Hall. More importantly, help thousands of children around
the country who have had to deal with the misfortune of losing a parent.

Make all checks payable to: Lauri S. Bauer Foundation for Sudden Loss
