Let's March for Moms at Canton Crossing Waterfront Parking Lot, 1410-1500 S. Clinton Street in Baltimore on May 7 at 9:00 a.m. Did you know that up to 1 in 5 women will suffer from a maternal mental health disorder such as postpartum depression & anxiety? Women are at a higher risk for developing a maternal mood and anxiety disorder if their babies are in the NICU and maternal mood and anxiety disorders during pregnancy can lead to preterm birth. Untreated maternal mood and anxiety disorders not only have a negative effect on the Mom but also on the development of the newborn and the well being of the entire family. Join me as I walk to raise awareness and funds for 2020 Mom, and the National Coalition for Maternal Mental Health, who are supporting moms and families by advocating for Maternal Mental Health. Five percent of funds will go to the local March of Dimes chapter. Let's walk together to raise community awareness of the importance of identifying and treating maternal mood and anxiety disorders in an effort to support a healthier Baltimore.
