This year the HUMANE SOCIETY OF CHARLOTTE celebrates 35 years of helping our community's homeless and at-need pets! You can bet we'll be "pawtying" extra hard at this year's PET PALOOZA festival!

 

Help us achieve 35 more years...lend a “paw” by joining us for our 2K Dog Walk---the wild and “woofy” kick-off to Pet Palooza!

 

REGISTER for the Pet Palooza Walk and ask your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to support you by registering and joining your Walk Team (or “Pack”) or making a donation to your personalized fundraising page. It's crazy easy!

 

Your $35 per person Walk Registration includes:

-admission to the walk for you and your dog(s)*

-one FREE Pet Palooza 2013 t-shirt (a $25 value)

-one FREE coordinating Pet Palooza dog bandana      

-a goodie bag from our sponsors

-your own customizable fundraising page

-that wonderful feeling of knowing YOU'RE making a difference in the lives of homeless pets!

THE SCOOP ON THE WALK: On April 13 at 10 am, human and canine friends will take a fun stroll around Independence Park, down 7th Street, and back into the park. The route is 1.3 miles (2K), with a shortcut at the half-mile mark for pooped puppies.  There'll be hundreds of participants, celebrity emcees, music, and lots of fun costumes!  We'll be looking for Best Dressed TeamBest Wagon, and Best Dressed Canine, so be creative in your attire! And of course we'll be licking the faces of our VIP's--our Top Fundraisers!

 

CHECK-IN & EVENT-DAY REGISTRATION: 9:00 am-9:45 am

Funds raised from Pet Palooza will help us continue to provide critical services (such as low-cost spay/neuter, adoptions, and low-cost vaccine and microchip clinics) to over 15,000 homeless and at-need pets in our community this year. We rely on our sponsors, vendors, fundraising walkers, and event attendees to help us achieve our goal. Last year's event raised over $102,000---this year, with YOUR help---we hope to raise $130,000!

 

DID YOU KNOW?

$25 will feed four hungry kittens for one week.
$50 will supply a warm, comfy bed for dogs in their kennels.
$75 can provide one spay/neuter surgery to prevent more homeless animals.
$100 will make sure four puppies stay healthy by receiving their necessary vaccinations.
$250 will have 30 cats tested to keep feline leukemia and AIDS from making lots of other cats sick.
$500 funds five heartworm tests.
$1500 can help pay for costly, often life-saving surgical procedures.
