The subject of ovarian cancer is personal to me. My late sister, Jackie passed away from ovarian cancer in 1985. Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death from gynecologic cancers in the United States and is the fifth leading cause of cancer death among U.S. women.
I think it's very important that we help suppport ovarian cancer research so that we can find a cure or at the very least spread awareness, so that women can learn about early detection.
The symptoms of ovarian cancer are subtle and often go unnoticed. According to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, in spite of this patients are usually diagnosed in advanced stages and only 45% survive longer than five years.
The mission of the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund is to fund research to find a method of early detection and ultimately a cure for ovarian cancer.
Please help support this incredibly important research. Click the Donate button above or click "Join the Team" to become a fundraiser for this project. Share it with 5 of your friends and ask them to share it with 5 of theirs.
The more you spread the word, the better.
