BENEFITING: Adult Congenital Heart Association Inc
The Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) is a nonprofit organization that seeks to improve the quality of life and extend the lives of congenital heart defect survivors. Thirty six years ago I was born with a heart defect called tetrology of fallot. I was lucky to have a supportive family and access to great health care in NYC. I was fortunate to have an excellent repair and was therefore given the opportunity to be a nurse, a wife and a mom (to 3 beautiful children)! Running has always been a part of my life and has helped me to stay healthy and fit while living with congenital heart disease. This year I will run a marathon in the city where I received my initial care, where I work, where I have lived and played throughout my life. This will be Kathleen and my first marathon, and Susan's sixth marathon!
Please support me, Kathleen and Susan and the ACHA's mission to improve and prolong the lives of heart defect survivors through a donation! No amount is too small! If not come out watch the marathon and cheer us on! It is a great party in a great city! Thank you!!
