BENEFITING: BARCOS NIGHTINGALES FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Apr 07, 2013
Barco’s Nightingales Foundation began it’s journey in December 2008 by Michael and Frida Donner in the hopes of reaching out to help lift the lives of children around the world in honor of nurses. The joy that is apparent to them, is in the faces of the children the foundation helps, the nurses who volunteer and the people who honor us with their financial and volunteer support.
Since then, we have been able to make a difference in the lives of 8135 children and their families by the donation of our donors:
• 1800 cleft palate and burn surgeries were funded with ReSurge International
• 335 children living with cancer were sponsored for camperships at Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times®
• 165 nights at Ronald McDonald House® for families of children undergoing treatment
• 2 solar wells in Haiti that provide 20,000 gallons of safe drinking water each day for 6,000 children and adults through Hispaniola Ministries were built.
On April 7th, 2013, we will have our 3rd walk with Camp Ronald McDonald’s Walk for Kids. We hope to raise enough donations to send 50 kids to camp, donate 200 surgeries and build 2 solar water wells. Please join us in this great opportunity to make a difference. Walk with us or walk virtually by making a donation or by sponsoring a walker.
