On Sunday, June 25, hundreds of teammates will join together to run the 2017 Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) 10K road race to support Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). ALL funds will be directed to the Brigham's MS Center headed by Dr. Howard Weiner. Dr. Weiner's lab is making great strides in research to help slow and stop progressive MS.
I love running, but the reason I am running this 2017 BAA 10k for Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) is to cure a disease, multiple sclerosis ( MS), that damages the lives of 2.5 million including my dear friend Susan Keith. I can run. Susan who was a varsity volleyball player can not run. Although as mentally strong as ever - and Susan was a top executive contract attorney at Skadden and Universal Studios -Susan can barely move one hand. She uses an electric wheelchair and a robotic arm to manage her life, along with many health-care helpers and her wonderful partner Jeanne Perry. She and other friends suffering with MS need your research dollars.
I know Dr. Weiner’s research will bring us closer to finding a breakthrough for Susan and all of our friends with MS. We are very close to solving the MS problem with computer modeling of proteins and small molecules, and other important MS research, like gut microbes. Even a small amount of money could tip the scale and bring us closer to a cure. Your donation can help Susan and others walk again. We need YOUR help to solve this problem. So press > the button < and DONATE now.
Thank you for your generous, giving spirits and love!
