EVENT DATE: Dec 13, 2014
Thank you for taking the time to visit our charity wedding registry!
For those considering a charitable donation in lieu of a traditional wedding gift, we are truly honored. We have selected our charities due to the significant role each have played in our lives.
Pets for Patriots
Jason is an Army veteran who fought in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Due to his time in the service, Jason looks for any opportunity to support his fellow troops. Samantha is an advocate of animal welfare groups who happened to stumble upon Pets for Patriots in early 2014. Together with other like-minded individuals, she is one of many who volunteer for Pets for Patriots. Samantha uses her flair for writing to share stories of successful adoptions on the organization's blog and on military.com. We have chosen the organization Pets for Patriots due to the nature of their work. Pets for Patriots seeks to transform the lives of military members by helping them save an at-risk shelter dog or cat. Providing healing at both ends of the leash, Pets for Patriots speaks to both Jason's undying devotion to fellow troops and Samantha's passion for saving all of God's four-legged "fur-babies" from homelessness.

The Alzheimers Organization - FL Gulf Coast Chapter
This charity is very close to both Samantha and Jason's hearts. Samantha's grandmother suffered from the disease for a very long time. It was difficult for the entire family, especially Samantha, as her grandmother was her best friend. Sadly, the disease claimed another life when Samantha's grandmother passed away in July of 2007. Not a day goes by that Samantha doesn't think about and miss her. Unfortunately Jason is no stranger to the disease either. Jason's grandfather was diagnosed with the early stages of the disease only a few short years ago. Although his health has deteriorated due to the disease, Jason's grandfather is still alive and fighting. Samantha and Jason chose this charity due to the tremendous impact the disease has had on both of their families. They support this charity in honor of those who have fought and lost, for those that continue to fight, and for the families who support those affected.
