BENEFITING: The Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association
EVENT DATE: Nov 24, 2011
Thank you to all who donated!! We had so much fun on our fundraiser. Check out our pictures! Kaley was very sick, but she still did it! I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.
My name is Ashley and I am 10 years old.
Our family is doing a biathalon early Thanksgiving morning 2011! The five of us are going to run and bike on beautiful Folsom Lake. Jack (age 7) and I will complete a 1 mile run, while Dad (David still 29), Mom (Shannon age 39) and Kaley (age 12) will complete a 5k. Then we will all jump on our mountain bikes and ride for 5 miles.
We are raising money for CMT, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. This disease is a group of disorders passed down through families that affect the nerves outside the brain and spine. These are called the peripheral nerves. There is no known cure. Your donations help CMTA provide essential support to the CMT community and hope for a cure. For more information about CMT, please visit their website at www.CMTAusa.org.
This biathalon is dedicated to Pamela Bartels who passed away in 2008 due to this debilitating disease. We miss you Grandma.
