I met Taylor Matthews in 3rd grade. She was an extremely smart, friendly, and gifted kid who was always smiling. When we were 11 this cute little girl and my best bud was diagnosed with cancer. While I moved on to middle school she faced endless rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and dozens of surgeries. After 5 years she lost the battle and I lost one of the greatest friends a girl could ever ask for. During her illness this amazing fighter created Taybandz, a non-profit organization to spread awareness and raise money for Pediatric Cancer. It was her wish that "One Day No Child will Ever Have to Face Cancer."
On September 30, 2012 many college campuses are hosting a Relay for Tay in order to help that wish come true. On that Sunday at 12:00 you can get involved and run or walk in a 3 mile loop around Lewiston! You can sign up here and donate (~10$) or sign up at Commons. I will be tabling with the EMS squad so come and donate whatever you can, sign up and get a free t-shirt! It would be amazing if when you sign up you could secure some sponsors for yourself as well to further aid this amazing cause.
Also please bring the waiver in order to run!
Please help Taylor's wish come true! Your help could save young lives.
