THE STORY:

This holiday season, give the gift that will last a lifetime:  education!

The Batonga Foundation is a nonprofit that was founded in 2006 by Grammy Award-winning singer/song writer, Benin Native,  and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Angélique Kidjo.

Our mission is to support both secondary school and, more recently, higher education for the most vulnerable, yet motivated, girls in Africa (currently our programs run in Benin, Mali, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, and Ethiopia). We grant scholarships, build secondary schools, provide school supplies, and assign a mentor to each girl we sponsor.

Your donation will make a huge impact on the life and community of a Batonga girl:

-$15= one month of school for a girl in Sierra Leone.

-$40= school lunch for an entire year for a girl in Benin.

-$75= one year of tutoring/mentoring for a girl in Mali.

      - $150= annual cost of college tuition for a girl in Ethiopia.

Thank you and happy holidays!
