THE STORY:

Battered Women’s Shelter is here to lead the community in the prevention of domestic abuse by providing emergency shelter, advocacy & education throughout Summit & Medina Counties, all in an effort to break the cycle of abuse & help promote peace in every family.   

WHO DO WE PROVIDE SERVICES TO? We provide services to any person impacted by Intimate Partner Violence regardless of Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender, Gender Identity, Race, Color, Religion, Age, Disability, or National Origin. Our doors are open to all, and we will support you through every step of the way.  

WHAT YOUR GIFT WILL DO :

$50 covers one night in shelter for an adult

$100 covers one night in shelter for a family of 4 

$250 provides one day of meals for entire shelter 

$500 provides transitional items for a family to move back into the community 

$1,000 provides a supervised field trip during the summer for the shelter children  

INTRODUCTION: Battered Women’s Shelter is a safe place where survivors of all backgrounds and cultures can escape domestic violence and begin to heal. Battered Women’s Shelter provides shelter and services to men, women, and children seeking to end their domestic abuse. Battered Women’s Shelter also helps dozens of callers on the crisis line daily, and educates students and professionals about domestic abuse prevention and services.
