Allows teens, regardless of technical expertise, to develop within a virtual world with their own digital media content such as images, audio, videos, and 3D models and use the world for their own unique purposes.
Career Exploration exposes students to creative projects that relate why 3D content is meaningful and how they might use it in the future.
We figure that students need to visit a variety of SIMS, some connected directly with course materials, in order to accustom themselves to navigating and interacting with other residents.
We hope to promote distance education, allows simulation of scenarios, real time interaction between students and mentors, and self-directed study.
Students will look at virtual worlds as social phenomena and “texts” as well as technical aspects like 3d modeling, scripting, and virtual space design.
Projects may included: construction of a Student Project Gallery, research assignments in Digital Culture, developing virtual world content , computer programming, Virtual Business Plan Competitions and Interpersonal Communication/Speech.
We need your help to get seed funding for our virtual reality training with teenagers from around the nation. What say u?
