EVENT: Saving Pets Challenge 2015
Each and every day we, as individuals, are faced with choices and our decisions are typically based on logic and our hearts. The point is that we have a choice. So many innocent dogs do not have a choice and that is when Big Dog Ranch Rescue intervenes to save as many as we can so that they can live, love and be loved in return. We need your financial help to save them and your donation today can make a difference. We think we are saving and transforming their lives and yet truly they are usually the ones who change our lives. Each and every day, our rescued pocket Beagle, Riley, brings joy and delight (and exercise :) into our lives. Sometimes the "What if's?" are just too unbearable to contemplate. All of us have special charities that we support and I am asking you to think about donating in honor of your own dogs - that you have now or had in your childhood to make a difference and perpetuate your own legacy of caring and sharing.
BIG DOG RANCH RESCUE INC wrote -
Big Dog Ranch Rescue, 501(c)3 non-profit, is the largest no-kill dog rescue in the southeastern US, began over 10 years ago as Florida Weimaraner Rescue, and in 2008 we expanded to rescue all dog breeds. Since then, we have saved over 12,000 innocent dogs and puppies who would not have survived without our intervention.
WHAT THIS CHALLENGE MEANS TO US & HOW YOUR MONEY HELPS
For every $25,000 we raise in this challenge, we can save the lives of 250 dogs by providing the core medical services which include spay/neuter, core vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip identification and medical treatments. If you donate to us, it enables us to save last day dogs that are within 24 hours of being euthanized at high kill shelters. Please help us - all donations make a big difference.
A SPECIAL LIFE SAVED...
Taya came to us at Big Dog Ranch Rescue after suffering tremendously at the hands of those entrusted to care for her. Her previous owner put caustic chemicals on her stomach with the intention of not only killing her puppies, but ending Taya’s life.
The dedicated staff at the Ranch gave her oatmeal baths every other day along with soothing coconut oil treatments to her sore, pregnant belly. We watched her 24/7 and provided love and care so this sweet girl knew she was finally safe and could recover after such a traumatic event.
We initially thought that her babies might not survive, but thanks to the support of donors, volunteers and local veterinarians, she made it and so did her puppies. After featuring Taya’s story everywhere from local news channels to print publications, the community helped us save this sweet girl and the babies in her belly. Eight beautiful miracles survived and Taya became our hero. She is now safe and happy in her forever home, with her lucky family.
You can change the future and save a dog’s life... just like Taya. Please DONATE today.
