THE STORY:

Hello Friends and Family,

Many of you already know of my passion for Big Dog Ranch Rescue and helping to save the lives of totally awesome homeless dogs who have no voice and are unable to help themselves. Without rescue, many of these dogs would not be alive today. To see these dogs adopted into wonderful, loving forever homes just makes my heart sing.

The dog that started it all for me was a dog named Pippa. She had come to us from the streets of Miami and was afraid of the entire world and everyone in it. Life had not been kind to her. Pippa became my focus. I had said to myself that if I could help to find Pippa a home and she was the only dog I helped to rescue, that would be fine with me.

To make a long story short, through Pippa's story on BDRR's website and FB page, Pippa found the most amazing home in Connecticut where she is Queen of her castle and lives the most magnificent life. She's so very loved and appreciated. As every dog should be! And, I became hooked on helping dogs to find homes. There's been so many after Pippa . . . Auggie, Bailey, Candy . . .

Recently, we added Cora to our family. This sweet girl was set to be euthanized along with her belly full of babies. Big Dog Ranch saved her, she had her babies who have all been adopted and now Cora lives with us. We love her so much!

As everyone knows, money is what makes the world go round. The same is true in dog rescue. The summer months are very tough financially for us at the Ranch so we're trying a new Crowdrise Fundraiser to help.

Like the saying goes, "Many hands make light work" . . . in this case, many donations (no matter how big or how small) will help us to save more lives.

Please consider helping the dogs and puppies of Big Dog Ranch Rescue. Being a part of saving a life is a very powerful feeling! Be a part of these healing journeys with us.

Much thanks from all the dogs!

WHO WE ARE

Big Dog Ranch Rescue, 501(c)3 non-profit, is the largest no-kill dog rescue in the southeastern US, began over 10 years ago as Florida Weimaraner Rescue, and in 2008 we expanded to rescue all dog breeds. Since then, we have saved over 12,000 innocent dogs and puppies who would not have survived without our intervention.

WHAT THIS CHALLENGE MEANS TO US & HOW YOUR MONEY HELPS

For every $25,000 we raise in this challenge, we can save the lives of 250 dogs by providing the core medical services which include spay/neuter, core vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip identification and medical treatments. If you donate to us, it enables us to save last day dogs that are within 24 hours of being euthanized at high kill shelters. Please help us - all donations make a big difference.

A SPECIAL LIFE SAVED...

Taya came to us at Big Dog Ranch Rescue after suffering tremendously at the hands of those entrusted to care for her. Her previous owner put caustic chemicals on her stomach with the intention of not only killing her puppies, but ending Taya’s life.

The dedicated staff at the Ranch gave her oatmeal baths every other day along with soothing coconut oil treatments to her sore, pregnant belly. We watched her 24/7 and provided love and care so this sweet girl knew she was finally safe and could recover after such a traumatic event.

We initially thought that her babies might not survive, but thanks to the support of donors, volunteers and local veterinarians, she made it and so did her puppies. After featuring Taya’s story everywhere from local news channels to print publications, the community helped us save this sweet girl and the babies in her belly. Eight beautiful miracles survived and Taya became our hero. She is now safe and happy in her forever home, with her lucky family.

You can change the future and save a dog’s life... just like Taya. Please DONATE today.
