EVENT DATE: May 10, 2016
Coming from Cambodia, I am one of the few girls in my village to pursue university studies abroad. My family faced a financial crisis once, and I was asked to quit my language school. It was the most painful and memorable moment in life for a girl who was always thirsty for education like me. I didn’t give up, but tried my best in my studies until I received a full scholarship to study at university abroad in Bangladesh at Asian University for Women (AUW). I’m a first year student at AUW. I intend to major in Public Health in order to return to Cambodia and improve the health system in my country where poor people can’t access to PROPER health care services. My name is Choronai.
With the inspiration and motivation I’ve gained from AUW so far, I start to think of what I can do for other Cambodian girls who are craving education, like me. So I’m here today, with the aim of raising fund to support a future Cambodian girl who wants to earn her Bachelor’s degree and be a role model for her generation. I would like to invite you to make a positive impact on her life by helping me raise this fund. Saving a cup of your morning coffee for 10 days could buy a girl a text book to school; with enough people, we could cover her transportation fee which is around $600 or even her whole tuition for one year which is $15,000. Please be a part of it by sharing and donating now!
