Be Gold For Colten
August 09, 2017
ORGANIZER: UCSF Benioff
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, and I’m raising money in honor of the more than 1,500 Bay Area kids that will battle cancer at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals this year. This is a cause that is near and dear to my heart as I have had the honor of meeting many of these families who have bravely battled this horrible disease over the years. I’m proud to say that every dollar you donate will stay local and go directly to the services that help these families.
While giving to a great cause is always the best reward I understand that some people need an extra incentive. With that in mind I have created 3 simple benchmark items while exploiting my family at the same time.
Gifts of $25 receive: A handwritten Thank You Card from Sam. He is two and doesn’t know how to write so manage your expectations. It will be more in line with receiving a miniature Jackson Pollock without the high price tag and lofty interpretations.
Gifts of $50 receive: A portrait drawing from Will. His favorite things to draw right now are hamburgers and ninjas so your portrait could very well be you as a Burger Ninja fighting vegetables.
Gifts of $100 or more receive: An invitation to a special dinner at my house celebrating the food of my grandmother Lynn Candito. She passed last year after a long fight against cancer but left us with a legacy of great memories and lots of amazing recipes. In October in honor of her birthday I will attempt to make my favorite recipes for everyone that donates $100 or more.
If you don’t have the money to donate at this time visit http://begold4kids.org/ to find out other ways you can help!
