So much sweat
July 16, 2016
Here is a real update... I'm struggling. It's hard. I'm tired and cranky at times. My body is going through so many different changes. I'm hungry, then starving, then can't be near food. I sleep, then don't sleep. I worry that I will not be able to do this, then think I can do anything. My wife worries about me but continues to push and motivate me. My kids are my anchors. I need your support. Please consider sharing, liking, or donating. Just $1 will help inspire me to continue on this journey.
The truth is.... this is something much bigger than me. By you donating just a $1, it helps so many other people. Communities become stronger, strangers become more grateful, the world gets a little better. Dollar by dollar, we all can make a positive difference. No better time than now to help. Do something nice to help others today, something positive and unselfish. Start with one small random act of kindness like this and continue giving back. It's time we all did what is good, what is right and what is unselfish. More of this is needed today. That is why I tri.
That's my update. I added some more pics of my family and I. Lets do some good now....
I am pleased to announce that this year I will be competing in Ironman 140.6 North Carolina on October 22, 2016. An IRONMAN event is a triathlon consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile run. It is typically regarded as the most challenging endurance event in the world. Completing an IRONMAN event should be an exciting experience and will require months of preparation and training.
With such a big personal commitment ahead of me, I have decided to make this IRONMAN journey more than just about me. I have partnered with The IRONMAN Foundation and committed to fundraise at least $3,500 for their Community Fund.
I can’t do this alone and I need your help.
Please help me reach my goal by making a donation on my personal fundraising website.
On my website is more information about my journey and The IRONMAN Foundation. I will be sure to keep you updated on my fundraising and training progress. I thank you, in advance, for your support and appreciate your generosity.
THE IRONMAN FOUNDATION -
All money raised through the Team IMF program will benefit The IRONMAN Foundation, and specifically - the Community Fund Program. This program benefits those in the communities where IRONMAN events are held, by providing charitable support to a variety of local non-profit organizations that recognize citizens in need and provide support to the local community. Within those communities, The IRONMAN Foundation will provide grant funding opportunities to non-profit organizations, while also working with community leaders to identify projects that will benefit the community and provide funding to support those initiatives. The IRONMAN Foundation has provided funding opportunities of nearly
twenty nine million dollars to numerous non-profit beneficiaries worldwide.
