I have been working tirelessly to fulfil a dream...training for this upcoming 140.6 event on October 22, 2016. Throughout it all I have been challenged with many obstacles including compressed discs in my back, family illness, the loss of my Nana, my own illness, and now a sprained ankle. However, I will keep moving forward, with a great team of supporters, and with your financial support funding Team IMF I will, WILL WILL WILL, cross that finish line!
What is an IronMan?
An Ironman Triathlon consists of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike, and a 26.2-mile run. Yes, all in the same day. And yes, all consecutive!
Why do I want to do an IronMan?
For me, it's all about mental and physical strength and discipline. Running was my first love which I learned, quickly, to be what kept me balanced and motivated. Later came triathlon which I quickly fell in love with. I have met amazing people along the way, sharing stories of triumph and overcoming obstacles, and being part of a group of folks that never take no for an answer.

Where will your donation go?
All money raised through the Team IMF program will benefit The IRONMAN Foundation, and specifically - the Community Fund Program. This program benefits those in the communities where IRONMAN events are held, by providing charitable support to a variety of local non-profit organizations that recognize citizens in need and provide support to the local community. Within those communities, The IRONMAN Foundation will provide grant funding opportunities to non-profit organizations, while also working with community leaders to identify projects that will benefit the community and provide funding to support those initiatives. The IRONMAN Foundation has provided funding opportunities of nearly
twenty nine million dollars to numerous non-profit beneficiaries worldwide.
