The Summit Woods campus located in Sharonville, Ohio, is home to the Beacon Orthopaedic Research & Education Foundation, Inc. The Foundation was formed as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization to support scientific research as well the education of orthopaedic medicine and procedures.
The Foundation’s focus is to advise, assess, and enhance the advancements of new technology in orthopaedic surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation. Educational programs supported by the Foundation are targeted towards physicians, health care providers, and the general community to increase their awareness and understanding of the latest breakthroughs in the prevention and treatment of orthopaedic disorders and injuries.
The 2,800 square foot Learning Center located at the Summit Woods location includes a 40 seat classroom, wet lab, locker room and a dining and reception area. The wet lab is designed to accommodate up to four cadaver work stations for teaching, training and research. Outfitted with state-of-the art audiovisual equipment with connectivity to both the wet lab and Beacon’s in-house ambulatory surgery center, the Learning Center provides a perfect setting for a productive and interactive teaching experience. Additionally, the reception and dining area can be used for course registration, catered meals and or new product exhibitions.
It is the intent of our Foundation to collaborate and cultivate partnerships with regional businesses, medical practitioners, researchers and educators who share our vision of providing education, medical practice awareness, and the discovery of new technologies for surgery and biomedical advances.
Our success depends heavily on gifts in kind and the generous financial support of our business and professional partners.
