BENEFITING: Knoxville Habitat For Humanity
EVENT DATE: May 06, 2017
As the Class of ’78 (the Class that is Better than Great!) I am asking the women of the class to raise $780 to help build a home for Kendra and her 3 children in Knoxville.
As a board member of Knoxville Habitat for humanity, please join me. I would like to ask you to donate at least $10 (78 women raising $780 for the Class of 1978). But if you would like an incredible experience to build with other women, a donation of $250 will get you a Women Build t-shirt, pink hard hat and the opportunity to work alongside Kendra as her home is being built.
Kendra has worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for over 7 years. Currently, she lives in a tiny two bedroom house that she rents with repairs needed that her landlord will not make. Kendra has been doing what she can on her own just to keep the house safe and vermin-free, but she is constantly finding holes to patch in order to keep rats out of the house. Now, do you consider that acceptable? Kendra is so excited that, in just a few months, her 3 children will have a new home, with rooms of their own and a place where they can be proud to bring friends over.
We need you. Will you be part of the change the Class of ’78 can bring to Kendra?
