Beat it Ben!
Organized by: Lance Hodgson
It's still a bit surreal to all of us, I'm sure. People in their 20's aren't supposed to get cancer, but it happened. What Ben first thought was the flu and chest congestion turned into being Lymphoma. For a lot of us, we just experienced our good friend Wes having testicular cancer at the same age and beating it. The support from friends and family, financialy and emotionally made this happen. As much love and compassion really do help, there are still bills to be paid including medical expenses and living expenses while not being able to work. Ben started Chemo at the end of July and although the first week has really reduced the pain of not being able to breathe well, the doctors say that the Chemo will start to take its toll in the weeks to come. That feeling of it all being surreal will very much begin to dissapate soon. It is when this happens that monetary support will begin to really help. That is why I am starting this fundraiser now. I believe that $3000 is a modest goal to meet and we are all very capable of making it happen. I believe that we will be able to excede it. A lot of us wonder what we can do to help ben through this journey and sometimes we feel so helpless. This is a way to really help him through it all. Thank you for taking the time to read this and joining in on the support network. We love him, lets show him.
